When for the Winemaker's Nite 2004 at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort yesterday to taste out the wine XD~~ The main sponsor was Denise Wine and Tropicana. The dinner was great and the atmosphere was very romantic (so dark =P) and filled with jazz music. The event started with a speech from Mr. David Lim aka owner of Denise Wine. He was telling us his story and where the wines came from, how to drink it, bla bla bla.... (just let the show begin, everyone is hungry liao XD~)

To be honest, I do not have any experience in drinking wine. This is my first time attending this type wine appreciation nite. Anyways my tasting notes:

1. Divino Varietal Expression Selection Sauvignon Blanc Vintage 2003
This is a white wine, very light, perfect for starting the dinner. Rating: 4.5/5

2. Divino Varietal Expression Selection Chardonnay Vintage 2003
This is also a white wine, the taste is a little too strong for me and there is a sparkling taste after drinking this wine. Rating: 3/5

3. Divino Varietal Expresson Selection Merlot Vintage 2003
This is a red wine, very normal type of wine. Nothing special. If there is, I can't taste it. Ratings: 3.5/5

4. Denise Committee's Selection Reserve Limited Release Shiraz Vintage 2002
This is also a red wine. This wine was specially selected by the managers of Denise Wine as the red wine for Malaysians. Very dark red colour. The taste is just right for me and the smell of this wine is so captivting. So nice until I have to drink 2 glass XD~~ Ratings: 5/5

5. Maxwell Honey Mead Non Vintage
This is a very unsual wine. This wine is not red or white in colour. It's a bit golden and honey is mixed into this wine. It smells and taste a little sweet. This is the first time I've tasted this type of wine with honey. What an eye opener! Ratings: 4.5/5

The dinner ended with specialty coffee. Overall, Winemaker's Nite 2004 was GREAT! Money well spend. The whole dinner course with wine is RM80 nia. Damm cheap for some great wine and some great food! Will be joining again next year! =D
